About the Academy
Peritoneal Dialysis is an important dialysis modality option for people with Stage 5 chronic kidney disease providing treatment that is independent from hospital settings and in line with the NHS 5 Forward View.

Clinical education for trainee nephrologists does not always focus on dialysis. Three of the world’s leading nephrologists specializing in Peritoneal Dialysis have worked to produce the first interactive learning resource for PD.

The Academy covers all aspects of care of a PD patient from the physiology and mechanics of PD, through to initiating the therapy and continuing management of the patient. The learner can expect to understand more about how to maximize the quality of dialysis that the patient receives; minimize the risk of problems and effectively resolve issues. if they do arise.
